Free internet was really useful, especially to check flights with the volcanic ash cloud, arrrived very early so couldn't check in, staff were friendly and let us leave our bags at the hotel instead of having to take them...

Reasonably large and silent rooms with a kettle and a storage. Exceptionally comfortable bed and newly renovated bathroom. Incredible and comfortable location really close to Stand Comedy Club. Also, so close to tram line which is direct to airport. ...

the best thing we liked was how close it was to all the sightseeing we wanted to do , and handy for nice food places
we didnt like room-too small,breakfast-not much choice,parking-no available spaces, very dull looking inside and old dirty bedclothes and very small shower also paint cracked and peeling from walls and ceilings and the fire exit downstairs was blocked with ladders and other stuff extremely unsafe

perfect spot for exploring edinburgh's attractions and parks
We loved being just a few steps from the vibrant old town and the beautiful royal botanic garden were good that wasvery comfy and tidy with helpful staff for any questions we had. The staircases can be a bit tricky, particularly for those with heavy luggage.

Breakfast was good. I liked the location--somewhat out of the main tourist crowd. Staff was helpful.
No desk in room, wireless was very flaky--not for business travelers who need to do any work in the room.

Good breakfast, The only positvie thing about the hotel.
The b e b is terribly managed. My room had no heating or hot water in a winter of -10 c and the owners did nothing about it, despite several complaints. Instead, they suggest me to book holiday inn next time, maybe that`s what everyone should do.

It was okay. The daytime staff were helpful/pleasant.
The evening front desk person was not very pleasant. he hassled us about how we were paying (they charge an extra 3% on MC card.) They want your to pay with debit or cash. We stayed for 2 nights and had to switch rooms after the first night, which was inconvienent. Our first room was a quadruple room (we asked for a double) and a few, important things were missing: the toilet seat was broken, there was an odor and there was no hot water. :( After we switched rooms (to our original double, it was an improvement (a working bathroom) and really a much nicer, basic room.

great stay but minor issues
The apartment had a lovely smell upon arrival. The staff's personal touch by checking in on us the next day was a nice gesture.
The location, though convenient, was quite busy overall.
